TORONTO – With 74 games remaining in the regular season, despite a 1-7 mark that puts New Orleans in an early hole within the Western Conference standings, the Pelicans are practicing caution in their approach to Anthony Davis’ hip injury. According to head coach Alvin Gentry, the two-time All-Star’s status for Friday’s game at Toronto will be finalized later today. Tip-off between the Pelicans and Raptors is 7:30 p.m. local time in Air Canada Centre (6:30 p.m. Central).
“I’m not sure,” Gentry said after shootaround when asked if Davis will play vs. the Raptors. “I have to talk to our medical team and get a gauge of where he is.
