It was around lunch time Thursday, which may explain why Anthony Davis twice described Friday’s Western Conference matchup between New Orleans (0-1) and Golden State (0-1) in terms related to sitting down for a meal.
“(They’re) a team that’s going to be hungry, just like us,” Davis said of the Warriors, who lost by 29 points in their season opener to San Antonio. “I’m just focused on preparing for tomorrow, and trying to get a win… We know they’re going to come in – especially after what happened (Tuesday) – hungry. Thirsty for a win. And we’re going to be thirsty for a win.
