Pelicans shootaround presented by HUB International: New Orleans tries to repeat defensive performance vs. Houston

HOUSTON – Problems on the defensive end sprung up everywhere in the first two New Orleans meetings this season vs. Houston, as an array of Rockets players fired and drained three-pointers at a record-setting pace, but in matchup No. 3, the Rockets couldn’t keep up with a Pelicans attack that racked up 128 points in a St. Patrick’s Day victory. New Orleans (30-41) will try to match that performance seven days later, when the Pelicans visit Houston (49-22) tonight at the Toyota Center.

In the March 17 game, Houston MVP candidate James Harden totaled roughly one-third of his team’s points, but no other Rockets starter reached double digits in scoring and the Pelicans prevailed 128-112.
