DENVER – New Orleans (30-42) only has 10 games remaining in the regular season to try to beat the odds and reach the Western Conference postseason, as well as continue learning how to best incorporate in-season trade acquisition DeMarcus Cousins. The opportunity to do the latter Sunday is in jeopardy as of this morning, because the three-time All-Star is being listed as questionable to play at Denver due to ankle soreness.
“He’s got some soreness there,” Pelicans Coach Alvin Gentry said of Cousins. “It will be a game-time decision. We’ll have to see. (On Saturday, after hurting it Friday in Houston) he had some pain, so we held him out of shootaround.
