ATLANTA – Already a top-10 bench in the as NBA measured by points per game, New Orleans’ reserve group received a big jolt this weekend when Jrue Holiday returned to the team and averaged 21.5 points, sparking wins over Portland and Charlotte. Even before Holiday made his presence felt in resounding fashion, the Pelicans’ second unit had shown promising signs, highlighted by it piling up 57 points in a Nov. 14 home victory over Boston.
However, one of the players behind that bench resurgence – versatile forward Terrence Jones – may not be available Tuesday when New Orleans (4-10) faces Atlanta (9-4) at Philips Arena.
