New Orleans hasn’t been anywhere near full strength in weeks and won’t be anytime soon, but the Pelicans are hopeful that two of their projected contributors will be in uniform Saturday vs. Golden State (6:30 p.m. Central, Fox Sports New Orleans, NBA TV). Luke Babbitt (left hamstring strain) and Omer Asik (right calf strain) have both made recent progress in trying to return to the floor, though their status is officially listed as questionable against the Warriors.
“I’m feeling like I’m pretty close. It’s just a matter of time. I’ll see how it feels tonight,” Babbitt said.
Meanwhile, Asik said in the locker room that he will speak to the media this evening to update his status.
