The latest Pelicans rumors told us that the Los Angeles Lakers look to be withdrawing themselves from the Anthony Davis trade discussion, at least until the Pelicans decide to lower their lofty asking price for the prized big-man.
As usual at this point in the NBA season, a report like this could easily be leaked by an organization like the Lakers to try to gain some leverage back in the negotiations. They could just be saying they’re not going to push as hard for a trade anymore simply to try to scare the Pelicans into settling for one of their original offers.
