New Orleans Pelicans rookie guard Frank Jackson will have a second surgical procedure on his right foot in three months, league sources told ESPN.
Jackson, the 31st overall pick in the NBA draft, broke his right foot and will undergo a procedure on Friday, sources said.
Jackson had a procedure on the same foot in May, before the NBA draft, to address a stress reaction that he played with during his freshman season at Duke.
The Pelicans signed Jackson to a three-year contract. Jackson had been unable to work out for NBA teams before the draft because of the initial procedure.
