Pelicans re-sign Dante Cunningham, vastly improve depth chart

Finally.

The Pelicans finally have their starting small forward just two weeks before their first preseason game.

This was some needed good news after Solomon Hill got injured, Frank Jackson got injured, and the Pels traded Quincy Pondexter and a second-round pick. Luckily the Pels were able to recover by not only signing Tony Allen but, according to Yahoo’s Shams Charania, signing Dante Cunningham to a one-year, $2.3 million deal as well.

Cunningham will give some much-needed length and shooting ability to this Pelicans roster.
