The New Orleans Pelicans picked up their second victory of the season, and it came against one of the unlikeliest matchups they've had so far on the schedule. Entering tonight's contest, the San Antonio had the second best record in the league at 9-2.
The Spurs started the game on an 8-0 run and many fans immediately had the thought, here we go again. However, the Pelicans stormed right back with a 14-5 run of their own. New Orleans finished the first quarter ahead by several points, and most of that could be attributed to the free throw disparity.
