After examining some of the analytics related to the effectiveness of different lineups that have been used by New Orleans (10-21), Alvin Gentry said during pregame Thursday that he is not making a chance to his starting five – at least for now.
“We’re just going to do what we’ve been doing,” Gentry said of his lineup, before pausing and half-joking, “and get it all figured out next year (meaning in 2016).”
The Pelicans dealt with a range of injuries early in the season, but lately have been able to stick with the same first unit of Tyreke Evans and Eric Gordon at guard; Alonzo Gee and Anthony Davis at forward; and Omer Asik at center.
