Pelicans join majority of NBA in making no major changes at trade deadline

Just over a month ago, New Orleans GM Dell Demps noted that any Pelicans transaction leading up to the NBA trade deadline would have to be a logical one, with Demps vowing not to do anything merely for the sake of making a move. The Pelicans made a minor trade Thursday just before the league’s 2 p.m. deadline, but – like the majority of the NBA – did not pull the trigger on a landscape-altering deal. As a result, New Orleans (20-33) will begin the second half of the regular season Friday vs. Philadelphia with essentially the same roster.
