Anthony Davis' status will likely be determined on Sunday morning, prior to the afternoon contest between the New Orleans Pelicans and the Los Angeles Clippers. Alvin Gentry expects Davis to try and play, two days after sustaining a hard fall into a row of empty chairs during the first quarter against the Indiana Pacers. Davis sustained a painful bruise and was sore on Saturday.

Friday's injury is the 17th ailment Davis has sustained in a short 3 1/2 year career in the NBA.
