Pelicans free-agent signee Terrence Jones excited to reunite with Anthony Davis

The last time Terrence Jones and Anthony Davis played a game in the city of New Orleans as teammates was April 2, 2012, when the University of Kentucky wrapped up a spectacular 38-2 season by capturing a national championship, toppling Kansas in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Four years later, expectations aren’t quite as lofty compared to when the pair of forwards won a title in their lone college season together, but Jones is ecstatic to reunite with his close friend.

“I could tell he was special from summer school, just how our chemistry built with summer workouts, how hard we both were working and pushing each other, just to become better players and try to have that one goal of winning a national championship,” Jones recalled of Davis, while appearing on the Black and Blue Report this week.
