New Orleans Pelicans Coach Alvin Gentry on Friday updated the status of star forward Anthony Davis, who sprained his right ankle Wednesday when he stepped on the foot of Rockets big man Nene'.
Gentry said he will get an update later Friday but he expects Davis to be sidelined about 10-14 days from the day he suffered the injury. Gentry said Davis did a little shooting at Friday's practice, the team's first workout since returning from China early Thursday morning.
Gentry said Davis' injury "happens all the time" and that he just "needs the necessary days to make it better.
