On Saturday after practice, Alvin Gentry said New Orleans (25-43) is not at the point yet to render a decision, but may eventually need to consider shutting down power forward Anthony Davis for the remainder of the 2015-16 season. The Pelicans were awaiting more medical information this afternoon on two separate injuries affecting the three-time All-Star. Davis was contacted in the left knee Friday by both Portland’s C.J. McCollum and teammate Jrue Holiday as Davis tried to set a pick on McCollum in the second quarter; Davis left the game roughly a minute later and did not return to the 117-112 loss to the Trail Blazers.
