The New Orleans Pelicans will host the Los Angeles Clippers on New Year's Eve. This marks the second meeting between the two teams this season. Back on November 27th, the Clippers thoroughly had their way with the Pelicans at Staples Center, cruising to an easy 111-90 victory.
Instead of the lopsided loss, though, many fans might remember how Chris Paul's deft but questionable tactics nearly resulted in a serious injury for Anthony Davis.
Thankfully, Davis averted all worst-case scenarios, but the incident should serve as a good reminder as to how hard teams must play to earn a win.
