Dante entered the league in 2009 as an undersized power forward. For the next 6 years, he played almost exclusively as a big man and rarely stepped out to the perimeter. Up until this season, Dante had taken just 38 threes in his entire career and made only two.
This season, he attempted 174 threes. He made 55 of them, which is 96% of the 57 total threes he has made in his career.
That’s incredible. He added a legitimately useful three-point shot in one single offseason, while also simultaneously adjusting to playing as a perimeter player.
