It would have been easy for the New Orleans Pelicans to lay down and not put up a fight against the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday. With Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday joining the other host of Pelicans out of action, New Orleans was down to just nine healthy players including newest edition Jimmer Fredette who had yet to practice with the team. But they didn’t. New Orleans fought hard and did the best they could without any of their three best players and were in the game for a while before the Hawks were able to pull away thanks to superior talent.
