The New Orleans Pelicans played a tough Houston Rockets team and ultimately came up short. Anthony Davis missed the entirety of the second half after absorbing an elbow to the head from Tyreke Evans. Evans also missed the second half due to pain in his knee, which has ailed him all season.
Despite losing two of the team’s best players, the Pelicans stayed in the game until the end, and it appears the effort that was questioned so routinely earlier in the season may be here to stay.
The Pelicans will need all of the effort, energy and fire they can muster as they host the team currently in the ninth spot in the Western Conference playoff hunt, the Sacramento Kings.
