The New Orleans Pelicans were able to win a close game against the team currently occupying the seventh seed, the Utah Jazz. Putting up 110.5 points per 100 possessions against the stout Utah defense, the Pelicans scored efficiently, helping them overcome a strong performance from Derrick Favors. The Pelicans have to feel great about beating such a quality opponent.
The Oklahoma City Thunder, though, are entirely different monster. Featuring two of the five best players in the entire Association, Oklahoma City is more than capable of dismantling nearly every team in the NBA with ease.
