On Thursday night, the New Orleans Pelicans played an exciting, tightly contested game against the team with the third best record in the Western Conference, the Oklahoma City Thunder. With six players scoring in double figures, the entire team rose to the seemingly insurmountable challenge the Oklahoma City Thunder represented.
Fortunately for the Pelicans, the Minnesota Timberwolves, for all of their promise, are a far cry from the Oklahoma City Thunder. Currently third from the bottom in the Western Conference standings with a record of just 18 and 40, the Timberwolves have lost three of their last four, despite Karl-Anthony Towns having an all-time great rookie season.
