This wasn’t exactly the way the New Orleans Pelicans were supposed to start the 2015-16 season. Not dealing with injuries to almost every important player on the roster. Not getting lit up by Stephen Curry and C.J. McCollum. Not heading into the home opener at the Smoothie King Center at 0-2 with two blowout losses and as many questions as answers.
But it did. Thanks to injuries to Tyreke Evans, Omer Asik, Quincy Pondexter, Norris Cole and to a lesser extend Jrue Holiday, the Pelicans have struggled mightily out of the gate, especially in the first quarter of games.
