Today’s NBA is all about spacing the floor and maximizing the amount of area you have open on the floor. This has factored into the development of Anthony Davis and his ever improving jump shot. Another team that is going to have improved spacing this year will be the Brooklyn Nets.
The Nets’ building plan hasn’t gone quite as well as they have wanted. Just two years removed from their big trade that landed them Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, they are now facing a multi-year rebuild back to playoff contention without any draft picks. This is probably what was the driving force of them bringing back Brook Lopez and Thaddeus Young, two guys who will help them to be as good as possible this season.
