The New Orleans Pelicans entered Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors a battered bunch.
With Tyreke Evans and Jrue Holiday as game time decisions and Holiday eventually out, New Orleans was down to just a few players they could trust on the perimeter against a great Warriors backcourt.
Yet as they have all season the Pelicans fought through adversity and found themselves in a game in the fourth quarter. The Warriors eventually pulled away thanks to superior talent but the statement was made. The Pelicans are a team that won’t go away easy and will be a problem for the league soon.
