Coming in at number eight in our New Orleans Pelicans rank is the big Frenchman, Alexis Ajinca. His road to the Pelicans was long and winding, and it included stops in Europe, Charlotte, Dallas and Toronto. Dell Demps signed Ajinca as a free agent at the end of 2013, and the French center has been a valuable part of the rotation ever since. The front office thought highly enough of Alexis Ajinca to sign him to a four-year extension this offseason, which is extremely impressive considering he was not even playing in the NBA prior to being signed to the Pelicans squad.
