Kendrick Perkins has taken the brunt end of what seems to be a lot of basketball jokes about him. Perkins was a key player on the Boston Celtics team that won the championship in 2008, starting at center and helping Kevin Garnett anchor the middle of the defense. Over time and after a few injuries, Perkins has now turned into a player who sits at the end of the bench rather than contributing meaningful minutes for title contenders.
With all the negativity that seems to come with Perkins, why did the New Orleans Pelicans find him worthy of a contract and a spot on the roster?
