Early in the third quarter of Friday night’s game against the Atlanta Hawks, the New Orleans Pelicans seemed well on their way to an 0-5 start with yet another blowout loss. But suddenly things changed as Anthony Davis morphed back into the MVP candidate that everyone expected during the preseason, the Pelicans defense started making enough plays and outside shots started falling. New Orleans closed to within six in the fourth quarter before the Hawks pulled away again and ultimately fell 121-115. While the Pelicans did in fact move to 0-5 on the year, there was plenty of good that came from the game, which is a nice sign.
