Everyone picked the New Orleans Pelicans to get embarrassed tonight by the Atlanta Hawks, but the Pelicans had other things in mind. Even without Anthony Davis, the Pelicans were able to lead at halftime and stay competitive to the end. The squad ultimately tired out toward the end, but it was a valiant effort and should definitely be applauded. Looking forward, fans should be excited that the team has started to gel, and with Davis, the Pelicans may be able to quickly add W’s to the win column going forward.
MVP: Eric Gordon Gordon was asked to carry the bulk of the offensive load tonight, and he delivered.
