The New Orleans Pelicans probably didn’t expect to open the season the way they did on Tuesday night. While winning the game was always going to be hard, New Orleans battled to stay close in the fist quarter before starting to fade after that and ultimately getting blown out. New Orleans was down 20 or more for most of the second half and to add insult to injury may have lost another player as Dante Cunningham found himself tested for a concussion following a third quarter collision with Andrew Bogut. All-in-all it was a night the Pelicans will surely want to forget as they fell 111-95.
