New Orleans Pelicans Lose Alexis Ajinca For 4-6 Weeks With Hamstring Strain

As if the injuries couldn’t get any worse for the New Orleans Pelicans, backup center Alexis Ajinca is set to miss 4-6 weeks after injuring his hamstring in their preseason win over the Indiana Pacers.

The Pelicans say center Alexis Ajinca is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a right hamstring strain.

The news was first reported by their website, stating that the injury was sustained in the second quarter of the game on Saturday.

Ajinca just recently signed a four year deal with the Pelicans this summer after spending his last two seasons in New Orleans.
