New Orleans Pelicans injury news: Eric Gordon to miss four to six weeks

In the midst of an inspiring comeback effort by the New Orleans Pelicans against the Minnesota Timberwolves, Eric Gordon was forced to leave the game after he injured his ring finger on his shooting hand. After the game, Alvin Gentry told the media that Gordon had fractured the finger and the Pelicans did not have a timetable for his return.

On Wednesday, the news broke that Gordon’s injury required surgery, which he successfully underwent Wednesday morning. The initial timetable for his return is estimated to be between four and six weeks.
