It seems fitting that the New Orleans Pelicans would end their season with an absolute implosion against the Minnesota Timberwolves. After trudging through month after month of unrealized expectations and dashed hopes of making the postseason, the Pelicans saw their season end in a painfully uncompetitive (and, at points, painfully funny) contest. These are the last grades of the season, and they aren’t great.
Toney Douglas played an incredible amount of minutes on Wednesday night, and he finished with 22 points, five assists and four steals. However, Douglas turned the ball over three times and played a bit out of control in the first quarter, which allowed Minnesota to jump to an early lead.
