The New Orleans Pelicans looked perfectly content getting into another shootout with a team they may not have the firepower to defeat on Wednesday night.
The effort level was low defensively and the Pels had almost no answer for Giannis Antetokounmpo who essentially went right through even the most defensive oriented and unibrowed Pelicans player.
The complacency seemed to cease in the second half as the Pels held the Milwaukee Bucks to just 45 points in those 24 minutes as they finished the game with Jameer Nelson in the starting lineup instead of Rajon Rondo.
Despite Cousins’ flat-footed effort deficient performance, he accumulated 26 points, 13 rebounds, and seven assists on 62.
