With less than a month left, the New Orleans Pelicans continue their search for the next major building block. Their best chance is in the form of the sixth overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft.
Once Ben Simmons and Brandon Ingram inevitably come off the board at one and two, the Pelicans sit near the end of what is being considered the second tier of talent. Pundits expect the Pelicans to choose between the likes of Dragan Bender, Buddy Hield, Jamal Murray, Kris Dunn, and dark horse candidate Jaylen Brown.
With a bevy of needs at all positions, and with the uncertainty of the teams’ selections at three, four and five, there are more than a few scenarios the New Orleans Pelicans’ staff could find themselves navigating.
