Although Rajon Rondo is scheduled to meet with specialists tomorrow in Philadelphia, the New Orleans Pelicans expect their starting point guard to be sidelined for the next four to six weeks with a sports hernia.
“Good thing is,” said Anthony Davis after the Pelicans knocked off the Bulls on Sunday evening, “it’s nothing too serious. The wait time is 4-6 weeks so he can come back and get right back into the rotation.”
With Rondo unavailable against Chicago, Alvin Gentry started E’Twaun Moore alongside Jrue Holiday and New Orleans got off to a terribly slow start, registering eight turnovers and making only seven of 20 field goal attempts in the first quarter.
