Entering Wednesday night’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder there were no logical reasons to predict that the New Orleans Pelicans would be in the game late. With Anthony Davis and Omer Asik joining Tyreke Evans, Quincy Pondexter, Norris Cole and Kendrick Perkins on the sidelines due to injury and illness, New Orleans was down to just 10 players and even less actual NBA rotation players.
Yet with three minutes and thirty seconds to play the Pelicans found themselves down just three points fairly improbably.
