In a story the fans have heard before, the New Orleans Pelicans started the game flat and the Minnesota Timberwolves jumped out to a massive early lead. The Wolves seemingly couldn’t miss, and despite a decent offensive showing from the Pelicans, they simply couldn’t keep pace. That all changed after halftime, though.
A completely different team took the court for the New Orleans Pelicans in the second half. The defensive pressure became suffocating, and the Timberwolves began shooting at a much less efficient clip and coughing the ball up repeatedly. Playing with intensity down the stretch, the Pelicans did not let their foot off the gas, and they beat the Timberwolves 114-99.
