The New Orleans Pelicans stunned fans once again, but it was in a different fashion than the dramatic victory over Oklahoma City on Thursday night. Anthony Davis was forced to sit the game out after spraining his big toe in pre-game warm-ups, but the Pelicans were able to shoulder the extra offensive load required. Unfortunately, Davis’s presence on the defensive end was not replaced. After leading for almost the entirety of the game, the Pelicans’ defense collapsed late in the fourth to give the win over to the young Timberwolves.
MVP: Eric Gordon It can be argued Ryan Anderson had the better game, but Eric Gordon returned to the floor for the Pelicans in dramatic fashion.
