So far this season it seems that basically any type of news related to the New Orleans Pelicans has been injury related and bad. On Thursday things just got worse as according to Marc Stein of ESPN, the team is now without another starter for at least three weeks.

The news now leaves the Pelicans without three of their best nine players for opening night, as Asik joins Alexis Ajinca and Quincy Pondexter on the sidelines.
