Replacing the minutes and production vacated by Anthony Davis was never going to be easy. There was no star power forwards available to the New Orleans Pelicans, but a direct replacement was never the desired approach, not after Zion Williamson was drafted. Davis never wanted to play center, but Derrick Favors wants only to finally play his actual position.
Favors is a walking double-double. He was only 19 in his rookie season, yet still posted a double-double in his third professional game. No one could fault Favors for believing the Brooklyn Nets gave up on him too soon.
