New Orleans offense has been productive recently despite missing six leading scorers

PHILADELPHIA – Alvin Gentry has joked to reporters recently that since his team is now playing without a combined 100-plus points per game due to injury absences, the media should cut Gentry some slack if the Pelicans end up scoring say, seven points, in a 48-minute game. Gentry’s point is well-taken, but somewhat surprisingly, the Pelicans have actually not decreased much in offensive production over the past week-plus.

New Orleans has scored at least 100 points in each of its past three games and is 3-1 since March 28, including a home victory over New York that was won 99-91 by the Pelicans.
