Pelicans finish 1-4 in summer league
LAS VEGAS – New Orleans’ finale in summer league started well but ended with a thud, as the D-League Select squad looked like a completely different team in the second half, erasing a double-digit disadvantage at intermission. The Pelicans shot nearly 50 percent from the floor in the first 20 minutes of action, before the D-League took over, particularly in the fourth quarter. After already grabbing the lead on the scoreboard, the D-Leaguers opened the stanza on a 12-2 burst, turning a 67-63 margin into a 79-65 edge.
