NBA Rumor Central: Updating Anthony Davis' status

New Orleans Pelicans starting power forward Anthony Davis had a procedure (ultrasonic debridement) done to his left knee on March 24 and he is currently working on his rehab in Los Angeles. Davis expects to be fully recovered before training camp opens in the fall.

“The basketball stuff I’m not really too worried about; I’ve been playing the game all my life,” Davis tells The Advocate. “You’re not able to play the game of basketball until you get 100 percent healthy. I think the biggest focus for me is getting healthy."

Davis' contract extension kicks in starting with the 2016-17 NBA season and if he's voted to an All-NBA team for the 2015-16 season, the value of the deal will increase by about $24 million.
