The 2016-17 salary cap year begins on Friday and New Orleans Pelicans general manager Dells Demps will likely not put in a lot of effort to re-sign his unrestricted free agents as they expected to move on to other teams.
"I still believe in our core players. I believe they are good players and they are going to have other opportunities," Demps told The Times-Picayune. "But at the same time, we have to do what's best for the New Orleans Pelicans. If those guys return, it has to be a win-win situation for everybody.
