The New Orleans Pelicans (19-18) haven’t fared well against the Minnesota Timberwolves (24-16) thus far, but they’ll get one more chance to emerge victorious during this regular season on Saturday night.
Back in December, the Pelicans dropped a couple of games inside the Smoothie King Center to the Timberwolves. In the first matchup, New Orleans nearly pulled off the come from behind victory, but the offense stalled over the final two minutes and watched Jimmy Butler propel Minnesota to the win. The second go-round had no such drama. Anthony Davis was ejected in the second quarter after picking up two separate technical fouls within seconds of each other, and the Pelicans promptly fell apart.
