The New Orleans Pelicans now know their drafting position in the upcoming NBA Draft.
The lottery balls did/did not fall in the Pelicans favor tonight, as the team locked into the number six selection. This is the second time the team will pick six in the draft, with the last pick being Nerlens Noel in 2013. This is also just the fourth time the team has a top 10 pick in the draft, the first since Austin Rivers and Anthony Davis in 2012.
New Orleans had a 6.3% chance at landing the sixth pick before the lottery balls were drawn.
