The New Orleans Pelicans waived Nate Robinson on Thursday, two days after the veteran point guard started the team's season opener against the Golden State Warriors.
New Orleans confirmed the move, which brings its roster to 14 players, on its official site. Marc Stein of ESPN reported the team is attempting to bring back Toney Douglas to fill the void:

Robinson, 31, drew the start against the reigning champions on opening night with Jrue Holiday sidelined.
