Jrue Holiday is a big piece to what the New Orleans Pelicans will try to accomplish this season, but his addition alone can’t be viewed as a cure-all. If the Pelicans are to recover from the 2-10 start they compiled without their starting point guard, several other players need to increase their shooting accuracy – New Orleans ranks last in the NBA in three-point percentage (29.1), the only club below 30.0 nearly a month into the regular season.
“We need better shooting,” said Pelicans Coach Alvin Gentry, who noted during pregame that he’ll keep Holiday to under 30 minutes of action Friday.
