Jrue Holiday in midst of perhaps his best five-game stretch with New Orleans

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – Over the past five games, New Orleans point guard Jrue Holiday is averaging 25.2 points, impressive in and of itself, but the fourth-year Pelican has also made over 50 percent in each of those contests. As a result, he’s been an extremely efficient and effective performer, even if it hasn’t always resulted in wins (New Orleans is 2-3 in that span).

During his Wednesday pregame meeting with media at The Palace of Auburn Hills, Alvin Gentry noted that Holiday’s recent play may be partly due to being able to better focus on basketball, after he had to miss the season’s first 12 games for family reasons.
